In the picture - Mrs Walter Murinyu doing what she knows best, building Tsotso Stoves. The new special bricks and mortar tsotso stoves are user-friendly, cleaner, produces less smoke, are very secure, efficient and uses less wood.

Tsotso in Shona are mere twigs so timber is largely spared. The cumbersome chores of fetching wood will be nomore.

The materials to build the stoves are free and readily available locally. Fuel consumption is greatly reduced compared to firewood cooking.

The stove saves time and wood. Children can now go to school early since food preparation is now less taxing and takes little time. Some Village women were trained on how to build the stoves.

All families around Chinehasha in Chiweshe have embraced tsotso stoves and are very excited about the project. No more kitchen pollution from firewood cooking.

No more runny noses due to smoke. Our village heads Chinehasha and Chirimugaha have been very supportive, urging people to embrace Tsotso Stoves. Trees are life let's save our forests. Tsotso stove is the way to go.

Mask up.
