Woman kills self in witchcraft allegations

A 46-YEAR-OLD Rushinga woman committed suicide by hanging after failing to face her mother in law whom.she labeled a witch.
Beaty King of Musanzikwa village,Rushinga was found hanging on a tree by her husband Pearson Ndlovu on Friday.
She left a suicidal note begging for forgiveness to her mother in law whom she accused of being a witch.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a sudden death in Rushinga where King was found hanging on a tree by her husband, she had previously lied that she was having a stomach ache and had a running stomach," Mundembe said.
"When she left the house the husband thought she had gone to relieve her self but was surprised by her absence for four hours when he searched for her he found her dead body hanging on a tree, a suicidal note was subsequently recovered stating that she could not face her mother in law whom she labeled a witch."
The police warned members of the public to seek counselling when ever they have problems.
