Controversial South African traditional healer Dr. Khehlelezi, (real name is Bhongolethu Mzozo) will be in Bulawayo on the 9th of January for a miracle service which will be held at BAC leisure center
According to a poster of the event, Khehlelezi will be accompanied by South African musicians Khuzani, Dladla, Thina Zungu, and Fikile Mlomo.
Khehlelezi who is originally from the Eastern Cape received his ancestral calling at the age of 12 and completed his training (intwaso) in Tsholotsho. He started practicing healing at the age of 14 years.
According to his official biograph, he was led to Durban (Kwamashu) to a hostel for men in 2010, were he performed many healing rituals. This attracted worldwide appeal as in 2012 he was approached by a Canadian family to assist in searching for their kidnapped daughter, which was successful and this again made him a household name not only in KZN but in the rest of the world.
Khehlelezi is known for his lavish lifestyle and public display of opulence and grandeur. He drives around in expensive cars and helicopters and is often seen purchasing the latest cars. He has been accused by his critics of ukuthwala (using various traditional medicine, snake, or goblins, etc as a means of acquiring wealth).
Khehlelezi also runs a Prophetic pseudo-charismatic church where he is the Prophet and also runs a Zion church where he is the archbishop
His followers shower him with the following praises: Ndumandumane eyaduma ezizweni, sihlahla somdlebe esingahlalwa yinyoni, nondela mzimba, mbejembeje mfazi onempandla, nhliziyo zamadoda zibomvu, nina basetete nina basenyimbane, mkhonto ogwaza igazi, ntaba zikhala amanzi, dictionary ndaba zidida umndeni! Ashuuuuuuuuuuu!
