Senor citizen jailed for cannabis cultivation

A 68- YEAR-OLD Guruve man was jailed two years by Guruve magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa yesterday.
Crispen Handirigu pleaded guilty to the charge.
Prosecutor Albert Charewa told the court that on January 10 the police pounced on Handirigu's homestead after receiving a tip off and they dragged him to his field which is 50 metres away from his house.
They discovered 29 plants of dagga and ordered the convict to uproot them
In a related case funny Chingwenya (32) was sentenced to two years by the same magistrate for cultivating dagga in Guruve.
