'Politicians should emulate Madzibaba,' says Minister Paul Mavhima

Minister of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare Paul Mavhima has urged politicians to emulate Sungura giant Madzibaba Nicholas Zacharia for a better nation.
Speaking at the launch of Madzibaba's 29th album in the capital yesterday Minister Mavhima who was the guest of honour at the event said, the musician was a humble character with good leadership qualities.
"I feel so humbled to be the guest of honour here because this man (Madzibaba) is a humble, selfless musician with good leadership qualities."
"Politicians should emulate this legendary musician who is humble, selfless and of high excellence , most successful musicians came from his hands the likes of System Tazvida, Alick Macheso, Simon Mutambi, Amon Mvula among others," said Mavhima.
He further said the government pledges to continue supporting him and other musicians since music is a powerful tool in developing the country.
"As government we pledge to continue supporting Madzibaba and other musicians because music is a powerful tool in the country through music you can unify, educate entertain and mobilize people even during the liberation struggle music played a pivotal role."
The soft spoken Madzibaba who was also celebrating his 66th birthday sponsored by Nyaradzo funeral group thanked all stakeholders and fans who gave him the name senior lecturer in music.
Fellow musician Baba Harare was in attendance and joined Madzibaba on stage as he was playing some of his yesteryear songs.
The five track album tilted Musabvunda was officially launched yesterday and is now available on the market.
