ZANU PF councillors breath fire over ZACC report

ZANU PF councillors in Mazowe are demanding a Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) report of Mazowe Rural District Council (MRDC)which allegedly exposed top ZANU PF leaders in Mazowe.
Councillors who spoke to Bulawayo24.com accused the council's Chief Executive Officer Liberty Mufandaedza and Council Chairman John Mudzonga of refusing to share the report in a full council meeting.
"ZACC conducted the investigations months ago and nothing has come up we are demanding the report which they left but Mufandaedza and Mudzonga are refusing to share with us the report and we are sure they are involved in the corruption at the council,"the source said.
It is further alleged that Mazowe West Legislator Kazembe Kazembe who is also the Home Affairs Minister demanded 25 offer letters to his youths who supported him during the provincial elections and were given the letters for residential and commercial stands.
"The unfortunate part is Minister Kazembe is also involved in the case and he is protecting both Mudzonga and Mufandaedza since he ordered them to illegally parcel out land to his illegal gold panners in Concession popularly known as Bokoharam."
Contacted for comment Mudzonga reffered all questions to Mufandaedza who did not pick his calls and never responded to questions sent to him too.
ZACC spokesperson John Makamure refused to comment referring this reporter to his information department who never responded to questions sent.
However, there has been an out cry in Mazowe on the illegal parceling of stands and the council has been accused of taking part of the land which belongs to Rosa hospital and giving it to ZANU PF supporters as commercial stands the case is still pending before the courts.
