A Zimbabwean based Spring Hub Publishing Company (SHPC)is showcasing an application at the  Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

The application was developed through  partnership with an Indian Company in a bid to advance the education system in Zimbabwe.

NytraZim was officially launched on December 9, 2021, at Crowne Plaza Monomotapa in Harare , where it was evaluated and approved  as value adding to learners by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MoPSE).

Spring Hub Publishing Managing Director, Nyunyai Machiwenyika said the app brings Spring Hub textbooks to life by mainly using the powerful sense of the eye as it integrates the modern learners' love of short videos, gadgets and the educative content that they need to absorb.

"It is a very appealing learning method which invariably stimulates class participation and creative thinking in learners. Its incredible experience has made so many to adopt it," she said.

"Nytra addresses four learning styles which are visual, auditory, reading and kinesthetic (VARK), therefore appeals to different types of learners' needs."

She said for anyone to start using app they should have  the Nytra digital Spring  textbooks  which enables a user to access the video through scanning of QR code

"Scanned content is embedded in our Spring Up textbooks that have been approved as following the New Competence-Based Curriculum, and is therefore very relevant to the learners of Zimbabwe," she said.

"It has been fully evaluated and endorsed by the MoPSE after having been officially tried, tested and highly recommended by learners, teachers, parents and heads of primary schools where it is currently  catered for."

She further said the app has emerged as the first of its kind in the country with very minimal requirements.

"It is low cost set up despite its uniqueness  and all you need is to set it up using three items which includes  Spring Hub Publishing Textbook, a smart gadget and internet connectivity after  downloading it on Google Play Store or App Store," said Machiwenyika

Headmasters and teachers  have applauded the app  for its significance in enhancing the learners' education in their schools.

"The app is very good as it reinforces learning and is in line with the current requirements of using  ICT tools in schools," said Mazhambe the Headmaster of Budiriro 2 Council Primary School.

"Nytra Zim is the app for a teacher who wants to capture the attention of his or her pupils as it explains concepts in a simple and understandable manner," said Muchinhairi, a teacher at Hatcliffe 1 Council Primary School.
