Brig Gen (Rtd) Mabenge met apartheid to discuss how to deal with MK and ZPRA forces

According to declassified South African Military Intelligence documents the Late Brigadier General (Rtd) Benjamin Mabenge was part of the Zim commanders who met apartheid South Africa commanders in 1982 to discuss how to deal with uMkhontu Wesizwe MK and ZPRA forces operating in the western region.
A brigadier by the Mabenge met with Brigadier Fourie, Col Vd Merwe, Brigadier and other SA intelligence officers. In one of the meetings the Zimbabwe delegation reported that Zimbabwe had killed a "ANC dissident ".
They also assured the apartheid SA that Zimbabwe was not going to allow ANC to set up military bases in Zimbabwe but the challenge was ANC's links with ZAPU.
