Man nabbed while trying to sell stolen cattle

A 42-YEAR -OLD Chinhoyi man who allegedly stole 16 cattle from two Zvimba farmers was arrested on Thursday.
Sources close to investigations said Chriswell Maponga was arrested while trying to sell his loot in Chitomborwizi.
"Working on a tip off we managed to arrest Maponga who failed to find witnesses while clearing his loot," the police said.
Allegations are that Maponga wanted to sell 13 cattle to Ignasio Kubarwa on November 2 but failed to provide witnesses while clearing with a police officer.
When the police became suspicious he sensed danger and tried to flee in the bush with the help of villagers he was apprehended.
Only 13 cattle were recovered.
