DYNAMOS Football Club have refused to respond any further to their statement regarding the exit of Isaiah Mupfurutsa as the club chairman.
Yesterday, Dynamos announced Mupfurutsa was leaving the role he assumed in 2018.
"Dynamos Football Club would like to reveal that Isaiah Mupfurutsa is leaving his post as Chairman with immediate effect.
"Mr Mupfurutsa has served Dynamos with distinction since 2018 when he was appointed as Chairman.
"Therefore Dynamos Football Club would like to thank Mupfurutsa for his tireless dedication to the team," reads the statement.
Following the release of the statement, some sections of the Dynamos fans believe Mupfurutsa, a banker was forced to resign having fallen out of favour with the board chairman Bernard Marriott and other members of the executive.
It is reported that Mupfurutsa was backing coach Tonderai Ndiraya who was shown the exit door on Tuesday with the club indicating that he is not getting a fresh deal when his current contract expires on December 31, 2022.
An attempt to get clarity on the departure of Ndiraya and Mupfurutsa departures at Dynamos were fruitless as the clubs' spokesperson Tinashe Farawo said the statements were clear and need no further explaining.
"The statement itself is enough. If there is anything further to confirm we will do so formally," said Farawo.
Mupfurutsa, when reached on his mobile phone for comment indicated that he was in a meeting but never said when his engagement was ending so that he provides clarity on his exit.
Ndiraya and Mupfurutsa parting ways with Dynamos comes after the Glamour Boys endured a difficult season which saw them finish third in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League behind second placed Chicken Inn and four times in a row champions FC Platinum. Under Ndiraya, DeMbare also failed to win any silverware in the 2021/22 season.
They were beaten 1-0 by Highlanders in the Independence Cup at Barbourfields Stadium and were also booted out of the Chibuku Super Cup by FC Platinum at the quarter-final stage.
Ndiraya, a former Dynamos midfielder was reappointed as DeMbare coach in April 2019 to replace Lloyd "MaBlanyo" Chigowe who was sacked after a string of poor results.
Already names including the likes of Murape Murape, Kaitano Tembo and Herbert Maruwa are being thrown around as potential replacements for Ndiraya.
DeMbare also said to be eyeing a foreigner with a Croatian reportedly in the mix to replace Ndiraya.
