Robbed businessman vows to continue shining

A Buhera-born businessman Maxwell Chikwangwani who recently survived a hair-raising kidnapping and robbery ordeal has promised to hit the ground running.
Chikwangwani fell prey to four armed robbers clad in balaclavas just as he left his Chishawasha place in the wee hours of the morning last month enroute to his rural homestead in Buhera North Constituency.
"It was around 2am when four men armed with a piston forced themselves into my come and instructed me to drive to my car sale in town to change the car that I had intended to use for the home visit trip. After complying and taking the 20 000us cash that I had carried with me part of which having been meant for financing my philanthropic projects back, I was blindfolded and subsequently drugged with an unknown substance and thereafter fell unconscious," he narrated.
"One thing that I still recall is l lost consciousness and after regaining consciousness I was picked by a Good Samaritan in the mining town of Bindura," the larger-than-life Chikwangwani softly said.
The kidnapping and robbery case was reported at Bindura Police Station docket number CR 74/11/22.
However, despite the fate having thrown the proverbial lemons at him, the unassuming and large-hearted businessman who owns a flourishing car sales-Chikwangwani Motors promised to make lemonade stating that he is eternally grateful to the Almighty for sparing his life so that he continues to do that which gives him a kick to the heart which is to better the lives and livelihoods of his kith and kin in Buhera West Constituency.
A youthful and indefatigable Edmore Dhave who is the contact person for Chikwangwani's numerous philanthropic activities in Buhera West Constituency said he too is equally thankful to God for granting Chikwangwani another dance with life so that he keeps on doing the good work for the greater good of their beloved Buhera District.
