Prophet tips off cops about murder suspects

A self styled prophet from Mabelreign, Harare tipped the police about three murder suspects who had visited his shrine for cleansing, yesterday.
Tinotenda Zemba (20), Kudzanayi Sala(21) and John Cheutare allegedly stabbed a vendor Tobias Matiyase with a knife five times following a dispute over change on Monday night.
The trio visited an unidentified prophet for cleansing who reported the matter to the police.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed.
"Allegations are that the three suspects bought four cigarettes and bananas using a US$1 note and they demanded $400 change while it was $200, they then stabbed Zemba to death."
