President Emmerson Mnangagwa's supporters have accused the opposition of staging-managing a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) press conference disruption.
A Twitter account which is believed to be for Mnangagwa's spokesperson George Charamba (dhonzamusoro007) alleged that it is a 'pseudo-disruption of Triple C presser.'
"Been watching pseudo-disruption of Triple C presser at SAPES TRUST."
Spokesperson for the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Promise Mkwananzi was delivering an address on the election update on Saturday morning when the briefing was disturbed.
The address held at the Sapes Trust in Harare stopped briefly after unidentified men stormed the venue and attempted to drag Mkwananzi away before grabbing the speech he was about to read.
Mkwananzi was giving an update to the media on alleged irregularities at some voting stations during the Zimbabwe elections.
During the live press address an unknown man can be seen grabbing the speech from Mkwananzi during the address in Harare.
The men drove away in unmarked vehicles.
In a short statement on X, formally known as Twitter, CCC stated that the conference was violently disrupted by suspected Zanu-PF members and individuals identified as members of law enforcement.

Madrama aya atanga. Have you ever asked yourself why an affable and more civil-mannered spokesperson was changed in the thick of an election contest for a militant one who favours a violent confrontation? The reasons are unfolding. pic.twitter.com/ihJEgjUuRn
