Following CCC's declaration of nullifying the entire election process and results yesterday, a party's senior official has said that they will not donate the seats they won to ZANU PF.
While talking in riddles, Advocate Thabani Mpofu, the party's lawyer today said:
"You have $100 in $1 notes, a thief snatches $63 and you fight hard to keep the $37; do you hand over the $37 to them in order to make the point that you have been stolen from or you keep the $37 and still try to fight for your $63?", said Adv Mpofu.
While commenting on the above statement, most social users said it was a clear statement that the party has accepted defeat.
"This could simply mean CCC will not boycott partliament and councils coz they won but presidential was "stolen". End of story. See you in 2028. #Asakhe" posted Zenzele Ndebele.
Following the announcement of last week's elections, CCC has been caught in a catch 22 situation of whether to take the legal route or to approach the international community for an external supervised elections.
