The government is in the process of revoking four laws that are considered "outdated and no longer relevant in the legal framework."
During the first Cabinet Media briefing of President Mnangagwa's second term, Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Jenfan Muswere, announced that these four laws have now become obsolete.
"It is important to inform the nation that the recommendation to repeal the following laws: the Fedrick Clayton Trust Act [Chapter 17:02], Service of Documents (Telegraph) Act [Chapter 8:13], Settled Estates Leasing Act [Chapter 20:19], and War Marriages Validation Act [Chapter 5:15] is based on the understanding that these laws have become outdated and should be removed from the statute books."
