Tshabangu provides ZEC with individuals allowed to countersign CCC nomination papers

Sengezo Tshabangu, the interim secretary general of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has written to the Zimbabwe Election Commission stating that only he and two others are the authorised signatories for CCC candidates who will take part in by-elections he caused on December 9.
Write Tshabangu, "Pursuant to Statutory Instillment 188 of 2023 proclaiming by-elections to be held on 9 December 2023, and fixing 7 November 2023 as the date on which the Nomination Court shall sit. I write in terms of section 46(1)(c) and (2) of the Electoral Act (Chapter2:13), to submit designated officials of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) who are authorised to countersign the nomination papers of out patty's approved candidates, and these are:
1. Sengezo Tshabangu
2. Mbuso Siso
3. Jabulani Ncube
"Accordingly, please find attached herewith the completed mandate form In this regard. may i also emphasize that no other person or individual is authorised to countersign the nomination papers of any of our party's approved candidates for the said by-elections."
Last week, Tshabangu indicated that he will be in charge of screening and endorsing prospective candidates for the forthcoming December 9 parliamentary by-elections.
Sengezo Tshabangu, who recalled 15 CCC legislators claiming that they were no longer party members, told VOA Zimbabwe he has a list of candidates for the by-elections following a presidential proclamation on the election dates.
