'Zimbabwe will reach promised land,' says Zanu-PF delegates

Zimbabwe is poised to realize its Vision 2030, guided by President Mnangagwa's well-defined roadmap for leading the nation to its envisioned future.

Following a two-day gathering in Gweru, attendees conveyed that the President, who also serves as the ruling party's First Secretary, delivered a clear and compelling message that they will carry back to their respective districts.

Over 3,000 delegates participated in the 20th People's Conference of the party, held under the theme "Towards Vision 2030, through Devolution, Industrialization, and Modernization." The conference, taking place in the wake of Zanu-PF's triumph in the harmonized elections on August 23, placed special emphasis on expediting development initiatives initiated by the Second Republic.

Zanu-PF delegates, in interviews, lauded the development trajectory outlined at the conference, asserting that it will propel the country forward in alignment with Vision 2030.

Vision 2030, Zimbabwe's overarching goal, aims to elevate the nation to upper-middle-class status within seven years, with signs indicating potential early fulfillment.

Patricia Munhande, hailing from Manicaland province, praised the party leadership for organizing a highly enlightening conference focused on improving the economy for the betterment of the people. She expressed the intention to carry the message of development to the grassroots.

Win Mlambo, representing Chipinge, commended the educational value of the conference and its role in providing direction to the party. He emphasized the need for government departments to implement the resolutions made and underscored the importance of adhering to party ethos and values. Delegates like Mlambo pledged to convey the conference's message to the people in their respective districts.

Flora Buka, from Gokwe, affirmed that the conference was well-organized and expressed her commitment to conveying the people's message to the grassroots. She noted that the President assured delegates that projects initiated under the Second Republic would be completed in the near future.

Elizabeth Budster, hailing from Harare province, highlighted the opportunities provided for initiating projects that benefit women, emphasizing the goal of empowering all Zimbabweans and ensuring inclusive development.

Babra Rwodzi, from Midlands province, commended the hosting province for successfully organizing the event, noting the integration of politicians and the business community, promoting tourism and economic engagement.

Archibald Chiponda, a delegate from Bulawayo province, underscored President Mnangagwa's emphasis on uniting people across the country and the importance of discipline as a foundation for development.

Alec Nhundu, representing Chivi, Masvingo province, expressed excitement at obtaining firsthand information from the President on the state of the party. He highlighted the Second Republic's focused commitment to development in both urban and rural areas.

Martin Matinyanya, hailing from Harare, considered the conference an enlightening experience for the youth, emphasizing President Mnangagwa's call to address drug abuse and the youth's role in anti-drug abuse campaigns.
