Prof Mthuli throws in the towel

After being given another chance to snatch the parliamentary seat of Cowdray Park in the forthcoming by-elections, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Prof Mthuli Ncube has chickened out.
Prof Ncube was highly hyped to wrestle the seat from the opposition but lost to CCC's Pashor Sibanda during the harmonised elections.
However, due to the recent recalls of CCC MPs by Sengezo Tshabangu, many saw it as a golden opportunity for the Prof to win the seat but he won't be on the ballot box.
In a statement, ZANU PF has claimed that Cdes Phuthi and Addington Mpofu will contest in the primary elections this weekend.
Meanwhile, the High court is expected to give it's verdict on the matter of the recalls before the nomination seats on 07 November.
