A Zanu-PF activist has approached the Harare magistrates' court seeking a peace order against his co-tenant that he accuses of hurting his feelings with her anti-ruling party statements.

Willard Gudo said he is a political activist and composes songs and jingles for the ruling party in support of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He accused Gloria Mukwesha of provoking him by maliciously criticising Mnangagwa.

"When she is in her bedroom, she starts discussing politics loudly and insulting Mnangagwa because she knows I am his supporter," Gudo said.

"She walks around tarnishing my image trying to get my reaction, but I call that character assassination your worship."

Mukwesha denied the allegations and accused Mukwesha of lying.

She told the court that Gudo was abusive claiming he had political links. Magistrate Mandlenkosi Ndovu issued the two a reciprocal order.

They were both ordered to stop insulting each and to maintain peace.
