In a shocking incident that has left a family in distress, a 26-year-old man from Filabusi, Mabuze Village, allegedly sneaked into his girlfriend's home, assaulted her and her mother, who had tried to intervene to save her daughter.

The couple, who have a child together but are not married, had been embroiled in a heated dispute that escalated into violence.

The incident occurred on Monday when Kearabeloe Mokoena visited Aaron Nyoni's homestead with groceries for his child.

According to Nyoni, his daughter received the groceries and left with Kearabeloe. However, upon her return, she was in tears, claiming that Kearabeloe had accused her of infidelity.

The situation took a dark turn later that night when Kearabeloe allegedly sneaked into Nyoni's daughter's room and physically assaulted her.

Nyoni was not present at home during the incident, but his wife rushed to their daughter's aid upon hearing her screams.

"I woke up around 11pm to my daughter's screams and rushed to her room, only to find the father of her child violently attacking her," the mother shared in an interview.

"I tried to intervene and protect my daughter but Kearabeloe punched me, causing me to fall to the ground. He then fled the scene," she continued.

Disturbingly, Kearabeloe repeated his violent actions the following day at around 12am. He entered through the window and assaulted Nyoni's daughter once again, managing to escape before anyone could apprehend him.

These incidents are occurring at a time the world is marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender- Based Violence, further highlighting the severity of the situation.

"I am disheartened by Kearabeloe's actions and his blatant disrespect for my home. Considering he has not married my daughter, he has no right to sneak into our home," Nyoni, the father of the woman, said in an interview.

The Nyoni family has not yet reported the matter to the village head, as they are engaged in discussions with Kearabeloe's family in an attempt to resolve the issue amicably. The family also said they did not involve the police in the matter since the police station was very far. Efforts to contact Kearabeloe were fruitless as his phone continuously rang unanswered.

So worried was the mother of the woman over acts of violence against her daughters that she felt they were unlucky in love.

"I just do not understand what bad spell is upon me because my other daughter who is married in the same area was here yesterday having been beaten by her husband. I just comforted her and sent her back but I wonder how her situation is like right now," she said.

The repeated acts of violence seem to have sapped her energy and left the family in distress with the father feeling grossly disrespected especially by the latest attack that happened in his home.
