Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Torerayi Moyo, announced that a total of 4,600 teachers have been recruited since January, with plans underway to recruit an additional 2,400 during the third term.
Minister Moyo emphasized that the recruitment aims to alleviate the shortage of teachers and enhance the teacher-to-pupil ratio, ensuring quality education.
"Government has already hired 4,600 teachers and intends to recruit an additional 2,400 during the third term," stated Minister Moyo.
He affirmed the ministry's commitment to investing in teacher development programs to enhance the quality of education. "We firmly believe that motivated teachers with strong academic qualifications are fundamental to delivering quality education," he added.
