The footbridge featuring the Mbuya Nehanda statue on Samora Machel Avenue has not been opened to the public.
According to a post by CrimewatchZW on X, the footbridge has remained closed to the public since its unveiling in May 2021.
The area is guarded by police officers stationed at the entrances.
While the statue was erected for public display, access to the footbridge and close proximity to the statue remain prohibited.
