Chamisa linked CCC faction says CIOs hunting down its leaders

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has reported that state security agents are actively seeking its leaders, Gift Ostallos Siziva and Amos Chibaya, following their address at a recent court hearing in Harare.
The two had attended a bail ruling in solidarity with 78 CCC activists who were arrested in June and are currently detained, except for one minor and Jameson Timba's son who were granted bail.
According to CCC, security agents allegedly entered Siziva's parents' home in Bulawayo under false pretenses, aiming to abduct him. The party claims these actions are part of efforts to intimidate and prevent Siziva and Chibaya from mobilizing protests against the activists' detention.
In response, CCC accused the government of being in "panic mode" ahead of the upcoming SADC Summit and suggested that these actions were preemptive measures to suppress dissent.
However, police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi stated that he was unaware of these specific reports and advised CCC to officially report any issues to the police.
Meanwhile, the government and Zanu-PF have issued warnings against opposition parties planning protests during the August SADC Summit, indicating readiness to handle such situations decisively.
