Armed robbers fired a warning shot and made off with an undisclosed amount of money from a Mukuru Money Transfer agency at Kamunhu Shopping Centre in Mabvuku yesterday.

The dramatic incident left shoppers and vendors scrambling for cover as the masked robbers executed their heist before fleeing in a getaway car. Witnesses described the robbers as wearing balaclavas to conceal their identities.

"We became suspicious when we saw two men with their faces covered. Within a minute, we heard a gunshot and the drama unfolded," said an eyewitness who requested anonymity.

This marks the second robbery targeting a Mukuru Money Transfer agency in less than a week, raising concerns about the safety of financial service outlets.
