Zimbabwe hosted the 3rd Association of Eastern and Southern Africa Travel Agents (AESATA) Conference at Rainbow Towers in Harare, with the Ministry of Tourism reaffirming travel and tourism as key drivers of Africa's growth.

Officiated by Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Barbara Rwodzi, the event brought together delegates from 17 countries, including airlines, travel agents, tourism boards, and other trade partners under the theme "Connect, Collaborate, Co-create."

In her keynote address, Minister Rwodzi outlined six priorities for Africa's tourism future: Cross-Border Collaboration, Digital Connectivity, Cultural Exchange, Sustainable Tourism, Infrastructure Development, and Regional Events and Festivals.

AESATA President Mr. Moustafa H. Khataw urged stronger regional accessibility and collaboration, while delegates praised Zimbabwe's warm hospitality, rich cuisine, and vibrant culture.

Attendees will also embark on a familiarisation tour to Victoria Falls, further showcasing Zimbabwe's appeal as a leading regional tourism hub.
