Destiny for Africa Network (DANET) has launched a nationwide housing initiative aimed at empowering church leaders with land ownership, starting in Harare and Mazowe.

Addressing pastors in Harare on Wednesday, DANET founding president Reverend Obadiah Musindo said the programme seeks to uplift Christian leaders and promote economic empowerment through land access.

"Church leaders should own their own land, and as Christians, we should not live in poverty. Hence, we are offering land to church pastors," Musindo said.

He announced that DANET plans to allocate 50,000 residential stands to pastors across Zimbabwe by 2030, in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa's Vision 2030 agenda. An additional 20,000 church stands will also be made available.

"As we embrace President Mnangagwa's Vision 2030, we are offering 50,000 stands by 2030 to church leaders and over 20,000 church stands," he added.

Musindo also highlighted the employment potential of the initiative, noting that the development work will be carried out by Zimbabweans.

"We are going to create vast employment because people who will be working on those stands are our own Zimbabweans," he said.

The programme reportedly includes a flexible five-year payment plan, designed to make homeownership more accessible for pastors and believers across the country.
