A 45-year-old Bindura man is behind bars after he was allegedly caught trespassing on a local farm while in possession of dagga.
Johannes Mhlanga appeared before magistrate Ruramai Chitumbura, who remanded him in custody to November 25 pending further proceedings.
According to the State, Mhlanga was spotted loitering at Wethington Farm in Bindura on November 14, prompting security personnel to intercept him. Upon searching him, they reportedly found ten sachets of dagga in his possession.
The farm's security team alerted officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, who took Mhlanga into custody. The recovered sachets—weighing a combined 600 grams—were seized as evidence.
Mhlanga is expected to return to court as investigations continue.
