Norman Mapeza has been named the new head coach of Scottland FC, succeeding Tonderayi Ndiraya, who departed the club earlier this week.

The appointment follows Mapeza's recent exit from FC Platinum over the weekend. On Thursday afternoon, he met with Scottland FC leadership to finalise the move, a development that had been widely speculated in recent days.

The meeting was attended by club owner Scott Sakupwanya, benefactor Wicknell Chivayo, Mapeza himself, his manager Gibson Mahachi, and other senior club officials.

Mapeza is expected to bring along his trusted assistant coach, Daniel Vheremu, who also resigned from FC Platinum. The club confirmed that it parted ways with Ndiraya on Wednesday, ending his tenure as championship-winning head coach.
