CAPS United have named former Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Takesure Chiragwi as their new head coach, the club announced during a press conference in Harare on Friday.
Club president Farai Jere confirmed the appointment, revealing that Chiragwi will be assisted by Ian Bakala, who managed the team last season.
The former CAPS United left-back brings with him a strong technical team from Ngezi Platinum Stars, including team manager Tinashe Nemgomasha, goalkeepers' coach Cloudious Gundudza, and performance analysts Garry Muchakata and John Vera.
Chiragwi has also recruited eight players from Ngezi Platinum Stars, aiming to bolster the squad for the upcoming season. Defenders Nyasha Gurende and Kudzwai Chigwida, midfielders Richard Hachiro, Talent Chamboko, and Macdonald Makuwe, as well as forwards Delic Murimba and Obriel Chirinda, are among the new arrivals.
The coach is set to officially assume his duties on 1 January 2026, as CAPS United look to strengthen their title ambitions in the domestic league.
