INSIZA - Private company Timex Global Pvt Ltd has commended the Insiza community for their warm hospitality during the Prize-Giving Ceremony at Greystone Secondary School on Tuesday, where the firm contributed towards the event.

In a statement dated 3 December, Timex Global Director T. Moyo expressed appreciation for the manner in which the ceremony was conducted.

"Timex Global Pvt Ltd would like to thank the Headmistress, teachers, school chairperson, parents and the community at large for their sincere hospitality during yesterday's Speech and Prize-Giving Day held at Greystone Secondary School," Moyo said.

He urged parents, teachers and the business community to unite in supporting education, warning against the growing challenge of drug and substance abuse among learners.

"The little which Timex managed to achieve should serve as a motivation to parents, teachers and the business community so that we both join our hands in supporting education. The boy child and the girl child are enduring moral decadence mushroomed by drugs and substance abuse in schools. To eradicate this cancer, both teams should come together as one and help resolve the problems," he added.

Moyo stressed that Timex Global is not politically affiliated, saying the company's focus is on business growth and community support.

"We are a growing business entity which seeks to promote Timex products through various forms of marketing. Timex success is attributed to our customers and the community. We ask you to support us through shopping at Timex shops this festive season so that we also grow and continue to support the community," he said.

He also extended gratitude to Timex customers for their continued support.

"We will continue to give back through various supporting measures. Lingadinwa Makhiwa lakusasa. Tinotenda Varungu," Moyo concluded.
