MHANGURA - A new tech-powered healthcare facility is set to open in Mhangura Constituency on 17 December, according to ZANU PF-affiliated group Varakashi4ED.

The launch of the Mhangura Telehealth Clinic, initially scheduled for 1 December, was postponed due to delays in the arrival of essential equipment, including Starlink kits.

Varakashi4ED said the development, spearheaded by local MP and Health Minister Douglas Mombeshora, forms part of the Second Republic's drive to modernise healthcare under President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

"Driven by ZimSmart Villages in partnership with the Ministry of Health, NetOne, and other stakeholders, the project is a major feature of the Second Republic's push for modern, tech-driven healthcare," the group posted on X.

The clinic will provide services such as cancer screening, disease prevention and health literacy, while 10 local youths will be trained as Community Digital Health Promoters. NetOne will also support the rollout through financial inclusion services on OneMoney.

Varakashi4ED described the initiative as a strong step toward inclusive, digital healthcare in line with Vision 2030.

Under Mombeshora's leadership, the Ministry of Health has been championing the vision of “Health for All", with visible improvements reported across both urban and rural communities.

"This bold push has led to tangible results being felt across the country," the group added.
