Gwanda police arrest trio for unlawful entry and copper cable theft

GWANDA - Police have arrested three men in connection with a case of unlawful entry and theft at the Municipality of Gwanda workshop.

Confirming the arrests via their X account, police said the suspects were apprehended on 4 December.

"On December 4, Police in Gwanda arrested Silabo Sibanda (37), Thubelihle Ngwenya (32) and Ekem Nkomo (52) for unlawful entry into premises and theft," police stated.

The trio allegedly broke into the municipal workshop and stole copper cables. They were caught while attempting to cut the cables with a grinder.

Police recovered a three-metre copper cable from the suspects.
