Zimbabwe ranked among top 10 African countries for road quality

Zimbabwe has earned a spot among the top ten African countries with the best road quality, according to a recent ranking by Pan-African publication The Vanguard. The accolade highlights the country's ongoing efforts to upgrade and modernise its transport infrastructure under government-led initiatives.

The improved ranking reflects significant road rehabilitation projects linking major cities, including Harare, Bulawayo, and Mutare, which have enhanced travel efficiency and safety. Freight operators have reported tangible benefits, such as lower fuel and tyre costs and faster delivery times, due to smoother roads and better connectivity.
