Three killed in Harare-Bulawayo road crash

HARARE - Three people have died in a tragic road traffic accident along the Harare–Bulawayo Road, police have confirmed.
The accident occurred on 9 December 2025 at around 03:30 am near the 156km peg.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), a Zhong Tong bus carrying 62 passengers and travelling towards Kadoma struck a pedestrian walking in the middle of the road. The driver then swerved into the oncoming lane, colliding head-on with an Isuzu bakery vehicle travelling towards Kwekwe.
Police said the two occupants of the bakery vehicle were trapped and died instantly, while the pedestrian also perished at the scene.
The bodies of the three victims were taken to Kadoma General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
