NKAYI - Police in Matabeleland North are investigating a tragic case in which a mentally challenged man allegedly killed his two sons before taking his own life.
In a statement posted on X, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident.
"Police in Nkayi are investigating a sad incident in which a mental patient, Zenzo Ncube (47), allegedly killed his two sons, Mandlenkosi Ncube (8) and Zimiso Ncube (5), before committing suicide by hanging on December 14 at Mahlikihliki Village," the post read.
The case has sent shockwaves through the community, with authorities urging families to seek mental health support and report early signs of distress.
