Man killed after being struck by train

A 44-year-old man from Matetsi, Khayalethu Village in Hwange District, has died after being hit by a train on Sunday evening. The deceased, identified as Sikhumbuzo Ncube, is believed to have been returning from a beer-drinking session at a local tuck shop.
According to the train crew, Ncube was found lying on the railway line. The crew sounded the hooter, but he did not respond, and the train was unable to stop in time, resulting in him being crushed.
Police confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing. Hwange Rural District Council Ward One Councillor, Vulindlela Mhlanga, urged residents to exercise caution when near railway lines to prevent similar tragedies.
