4 die in head-on crash

Four people, including both drivers, were killed in a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on January 14, 2026, near Mvuma along the Harare–Masvingo Road.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, saying a Nissan AD van and a BMW vehicle collided head-on at around 2:20pm.
"The accident happened at the 173km peg, with the Nissan AD van travelling towards Masvingo and the BMW vehicle heading towards Harare," Nyathi said.
"One person died on the spot, while three others later succumbed to their injuries at Mvuma District Hospital."
Police said investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
