Soldier bashed for housebreaking

A member of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) was severely assaulted by Hatcliffe residents after he allegedly broke into a house with the intention of stealing.
Macmillan Wurayayi (23) was handed over to the police after receiving a thorough beating from the residents.
Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said he was yet to receive details of the case.
Meanwhile, cases involving soldiers committing crimes continue to rise. Last month, three soldiers were arrested in Fort Rixon in connection with a spate of robbery cases.
