A Plumtree ex‑convict has been sent back to prison after he allegedly threatened to kill his neighbour, whom he accused of causing his previous arrest.
Mark Moyo (29) appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing charges of making threats. He was remanded in custody to 27 January.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that on 12 December last year, the complainant, Saddam Nyoni, was drinking beer at Madabe Business Centre when Moyo confronted him.
Moyo allegedly accused Nyoni of entering his room on the day community members apprehended him for a murder case. A misunderstanding reportedly ensued, during which Moyo threatened to kill Nyoni and burn down his house.
Nyoni filed a police report, leading to Moyo's arrest.
