Nedbank Zimbabwe has announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Ms Sibongile Moyo, who has stepped down after nearly six years in the role to pursue private interests.
Ms Moyo was appointed Managing Director on April 1, 2020.
In a statement, Company Secretary Mr Farai Sithole said the decision follows what he described as a "distinguished tenure," during which Ms Moyo provided strong leadership in a challenging operating environment, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
"During her tenure, the Bank strengthened its institutional resilience and capital position, improved operational efficiencies, delivered sustainable financial performance, and achieved leading brand recognition supported by strong client advocacy," said Mr Sithole.
Nedbank Zimbabwe commended Ms Moyo for her contribution to the bank's growth and stability over the years.
Meanwhile, Mr Heresy Herry, the current Head of Origination and Sales and a member of the Nedbank Zimbabwe Executive Committee, has been appointed Acting Managing Director for the period from January 23 to April 30, 2026.
