Employee steals US$4 150 from betting company

A 23‑year‑old Bindura man has appeared in court after he was accused of stealing US$4 150 from Bez Bets, where he worked as a cashier.


Delson Sindikazi appeared before Bindura magistrate Elisha Singano facing theft charges.

Prosecutor Sheila Kudzai Maribha told the court that on 22 January, the complainant, represented by Lewis Hendrick Kabunyu, logged into the company’s administration system to conduct routine online spot checks. He reportedly noticed irregularities linked to Sindikazi’s account.

Kabunyu confronted Sindikazi, who allegedly admitted to conducting online credit betting using the company’s funds.

Sindikazi was subsequently arrested.
