Harare police intercept drug peddlers

Police in Harare have intercepted a vehicle carrying an assortment of illegal drugs and arrested four suspects during a patrol operation.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police announced the arrests through their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“On 12 February, police in Featherstone, who were on motorised patrol, intercepted a Nissan Note vehicle, registration number AGW 8609, at Wadyiwawamira Shops and arrested Angeline Tavengwa (44), Charity Chinyandura (45), Hamilton Nyandoro (34) and Edward Mukwesha (40) for unlawful possession of 20 boxes of Broncleer cough syrup,” the police said.
In a separate incident, police arrested Timothy Mushati (30) at Mutonhodza Farm Compound in Juliasdale, Nyanga, for selling dagga. Officers recovered packed sachets of dagga and rolling papers during the arrest.
The police reiterated their ongoing campaign against drug and substance abuse.
