Woman arrested over murder of stepson

Police in Gokwe have arrested Sharai Foromani (18) in connection with the murder of her three-year-old stepson at Madzura Village on 13 February 2026.
According to police reports, the suspect allegedly followed the child to a bush behind their homestead while he had gone to relieve himself and strangled him to death. The motive for the crime is currently unknown.
The victim's body was taken to Gokwe Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination as police continue their investigation.
Authorities have appealed to community members to provide any information that could assist in the ongoing inquiry.
