Flamboyant preacher Passion Java has confirmed that his 10-year marriage to Ethiopian-born beauty Lily Tsegaye has officially come to an end.
The announcement follows months of speculation surrounding the couple's relationship. Last year, followers began questioning the status of their marriage after Lily reportedly wiped her Instagram account clean, removing pictures of the preacher from her timeline.
Java has now publicly addressed the matter, releasing a statement on his official Facebook page.
"This moment serves to inform our partners, spiritual children, and all well-meaning Christians around the world that Lily and I have officially dissolved our marriage," he wrote.
The preacher did not disclose the reasons behind the divorce but emphasized that the decision was reached amicably.
"This decision was not made lightly, but with maturity, understanding, and peace. Though our marriage has come to an end, we remain friends and committed partners in raising our three beautiful children," he said.
The development marks the second divorce for Java. He previously separated from his first wife, Yasmin, in 2015 shortly after meeting Lily.
Java and Lily tied the knot in a colourful ceremony in Jamaica in 2016, an event that drew widespread attention on social media.
In his statement, Java stressed that family remains central to his life despite the marital split.
"We are both fully involved in their lives and will continue to co-parent with love, respect, and unity. Family remains a priority to me. Divorce does not change my responsibility or dedication as a father," he said.
"Our children will continue to receive the presence, support, and guidance they deserve from both parents. We are also deeply committed to the callings God has placed upon our lives."
He concluded by appealing for understanding and prayers from supporters as they transition into what he described as a new season.
"This new season allows us to walk in those callings with clarity and purpose, while maintaining peace and mutual respect. I ask for your understanding and prayers as we move forward in grace, faith, and friendship."
