Magaya arrested in Chitungwiza

A Waterfalls man, Kudzanayi Magaya, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping two young men and impersonating a police officer in Chitungwiza.
Magaya and his three brothers, Tongayi, Never and Roderick Magaya, are accused of attacking Tadiwanashe Kugotsi (24) and Tafadzwa Chiyambira (22) near Chigovanyika Shopping Centre in St Mary's.
According to reports, the four brothers confronted Tadiwanashe at his home after arriving in an Isuzu Twin Cab truck. They allegedly began assaulting him in a dispute linked to US$700 which they claim had been misused.
The situation escalated until local residents intervened. Tongayi, Never and Roderick reportedly fled the scene, while Kudzanayi was apprehended by members of the public and later handed over to authorities.
Police are investigating the alleged kidnapping and impersonation charges.
