3 killed in bus accident

Three people, including a police officer, were killed in a horrific road accident that occurred early this morning along the Gweru–Bulawayo Highway.
The crash happened near the Gweru tollgate at around 4am and involved a bus that was travelling from Botswana.
Eyewitnesses said the collision was severe and claimed three lives at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the accident were still unclear at the time of writing.
Details regarding the number of people injured in the crash were also still being established as authorities continued gathering information from the scene.
Emergency services reportedly attended the scene soon after the accident.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident but said full details were not yet available.
"I can confirm that an accident occurred along the Gweru–Bulawayo Highway near the Gweru tollgate this morning, but I do not yet have full details regarding the incident," said Mahoko.
Police are expected to release more information once investigations are completed.
