Zifa applies for a webcasting licence

The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zimbabwe Football Association) is seeking to expand its digital and media presence after formally applying for a webcasting licence, a move that could allow the football governing body to broadcast content directly to fans online.

According to a public notice issued by the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe), ZIFA's proposed webcasting operations would be based at Tendeseka Office Park in Harare.

The application has been made available for public inspection in line with regulatory requirements, allowing stakeholders and members of the public to review and comment on the proposed licence.

If approved, the development would mark a significant step for ZIFA in building its own digital broadcasting capacity and strengthening direct engagement with football audiences across the country.
