Actor and anti-immigrant activist Nkosikhona Ndabandaba has dismissed viral social media claims that he is married to a Zimbabwean woman, describing the allegations as false and motivated by jealousy.

Ndabandaba, popularly known as "Phakel'umthakathi," said he has never married a Zimbabwean woman and insisted he has no intention of doing so.

"I have never had a wife from Zimbabwe. I will never have a wife in Zimbabwe," he said.

The controversial activist acknowledged that he previously dated a Zimbabwean woman but said the relationship ended after he realised they were not compatible.

"I once had a girlfriend that I loved. I saw that it wouldn't work. Before I even spoke to her, I made sure to inspect her papers for being in South Africa," he said.

Ndabandaba added that the breakup did not leave him bitter or hateful toward the woman.

"If you love a person, you look at where they are headed. If it's not the same, you part ways. I didn't become bitter or grow hatred for her after the relationship ended."

The claims gained traction online after photos allegedly linking him to Bekezela Dube circulated on social media platforms.

Dube has since publicly defended Ndabandaba, apologising for what she described as exposing aspects of his private life.

"Firstly, I want to apologise to Phakela for exposing his private life. If that picture of mine was not somewhere on Facebook, I don't think we would have reached this stage," she said.

She also dismissed reports suggesting the two were married, stating that Ndabandaba already has wives and children and that false information was being spread online.

Ndabandaba believes the rumours were fuelled by envy and attempts to damage his reputation.

"When you do this type of work, there are people who pray for your downfall. Sometimes, out of jealousy, it can be those you work alongside of," he said.

The controversy has generated intense debate on social media, particularly because Ndabandaba has become a prominent figure in anti-immigration activism in South Africa.
