The Zimbabwean Parliament has adjourned its sitting until Tuesday, when debate on the controversial Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 is expected to continue.

Monday is not a sitting day, and lawmakers will return to the House midweek to resume deliberations on the proposed constitutional changes, which remain the central focus of parliamentary business.

The Bill, which seeks to introduce significant amendments to Zimbabwe's Constitution, has already generated intense political discussion in the National Assembly.

So far during the debate, no ZANU-PF Member of Parliament has spoken against the Bill, while some opposition legislators have reportedly expressed support for the proposed changes.

Parliamentary sources say there is growing speculation that the Bill could be put to a vote as early as Thursday or Friday, depending on how the remaining debate unfolds.

However, there is reported unease within ZANU-PF regarding the Senate process, where concerns persist that the party may not yet have fully secured the numbers required to ensure smooth passage of the amendment.

The Bill is expected to dominate legislative proceedings when Parliament resumes on Tuesday, as scrutiny of its provisions continues.
