Dynamos FC have been plunged into fresh leadership turmoil after suspending head coach Genesis Mangombe while simultaneously moving to appoint a new foreign coach.

The Glamour Boys are reportedly closing in on the appointment of Serbian tactician Aristica Cioaba, who was spotted at Barbourfields Stadium during Dynamos' Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against Highlanders FC, fuelling speculation that he is set to take over the Harare giants.

The developments come amid growing uncertainty over Mangombe's future, with the suspended coach reportedly edging closer to a return to Triangle United after submitting his conditions to the Lowveld-based club.

Mangombe was suspended by Dynamos over a string of allegations, including claims that he compelled players to participate in alleged juju rituals before matches. The club has not publicly concluded its disciplinary process, and the allegations remain untested.

The coaching shake-up has sparked criticism from sections of the Dynamos support base, many of whom believe the club was making steady progress under Mangombe following last season's battle against relegation.

Supporters have accused the club's leadership of disrupting the team's momentum at a time when performances and results had begun to improve.

Many fans argued that Mangombe was rebuilding the squad and putting the club on a more competitive footing, making the decision to suspend him difficult to understand.

Meanwhile, the appearance of Cioaba at Dynamos' recent league fixture has intensified speculation that the club is preparing for a change in the technical department.

Should the Serbian be appointed, he would inherit a side seeking to restore its status among Zimbabwe's elite after an inconsistent run in recent seasons.

Mangombe, on the other hand, appears set for a swift return to coaching, with Triangle United reportedly interested in securing his services ahead of the next phase of their campaign.

Neither Dynamos nor Triangle United had officially confirmed the reported coaching developments at the time of publication.
